How I Transformed My Hair Routine After My Head Spa Experience
Scalp care has become a major trend in haircare, with more people recognizing its importance for healthier, stronger hair. Treatments like head spas are gaining popularity for their ability to deeply cleanse, hydrate, and rejuvenate the scalp. After experiencing a personalized head spa treatment at L’Espoir, I saw firsthand how much proper scalp care can transform hair health. The treatment introduced me to new ways to care for my scalp and hair, and I was inspired to implement what I learned into my routine. Here’s how I updated my haircare routine to maintain those results at home.

My Treatment Day Routine
These are the steps I take on days when I give my hair and scalp extra care:
1. Deep Cleansing Shampoo – Milbon SCALP Purifying Gel Shampoo (15 Minutes Under a Cap)
A thorough shampooing session is key to scalp health. I use Milbon SCALP Purifying Gel Shampoo and let it sit under a cap for 15 minutes to deeply cleanse my scalp before rinsing.
2. Scalp & Hair Treatment – Milbon SCALP Hydrating Treatment + Nexxus Keraphix on Ends (15+ Minutes Under a Cap)
I apply Milbon SCALP Hydrating Treatment to my roots and Nexxus Keraphix to my ends for extra nourishment.
Sometimes, I leave everything in longer while relaxing in the bathtub and reading—a little self-care bonus.

3. Rinse & Pre-Styling – Lukewarm/Cold Water Rinse + Milbon ANTI-FRIZZ Humidity Blocking Oil
I always rinse with lukewarm or cold water to lock in moisture, then lightly towel-dry before applying Milbon ANTI-FRIZZ Humidity Blocking Oil.
4. Heat Protection & Styling – Olaplex No. 9
I use Olaplex No. 9, which provides heat protection and helps maintain my blowout for a full seven days.
5. Blow-Drying – Dyson Supersonic Hairdryer
The Dyson Airwrap has been a game-changer—it’s powerful but uses minimal heat, preventing damage. With this, I can achieve a salon-quality blowout at home, saving time and money on professional styling.
👉 With this routine, I’ve been able to stretch my washes to every 7 days, and my hair still looks great even on day 7.
However, since I’m pregnant, I don’t always have the time or energy for this full treatment routine, so I only follow it 1-2 times per month and keep things simple in between.
My Routine on Other Days
Since I can’t do the full treatment often, I keep things simple in between:
Shampoo – Prose (customized for my hair’s needs)
Conditioner – Nexxus Keraphix (applied to both scalp and ends)
This low-maintenance approach keeps my hair healthy and manageable while ensuring I don’t need to spend hours on upkeep.
